I had come to trade my talents,
I came with a bad name,
I couldn’t find a galleon

I chose a place with connections,
A town I knew from the past
But the only thing wrong was the climate,
I didn’t count on the north sea blast.

And I didn’t count on meeting the merchant
Only the middle man

When he saw what I had to sell;
The merchant was keen, he knew how to deal,
He looked quite good looking too,
He was tall and clean, he knew the scene,
Taught me a thing or two.

He sold me signs of survival,
